You know it's cold when...

1. I have to put 2 duvets on my bed to be able to sleep.
2. The 'L' has issues for 2 days in a row.
3. There is steam coming off the Chicago River.
4. My index finger goes white.
5. The high for the day is only 31 degrees.
6. The temperature at 6:45am is 16 degrees and by 10:45am it's only 19 degrees.
7. The wind chill makes it 7 degrees.
8. I've decided to break down and buy thermal underwear.
9. The hairs in your nose are covered in icicles.
10. I use my credit card in the cafeteria for a $2.17 lunch instead of going out to find an ATM to get cash.
