It's been a long day
It's late, but I need to post something before hitting the sack. I had a great weekend thanks to a night of partying with CG Saturday night. It started out harmless enough with a nice dinner at Mia Francesca followed by a few drinks down the street. It was only after meeting Juan and his friends that the chaos began and the night became more interesting. Juan and the boys were in town for a Baseball Coaches Convention and considering our love of baseball, CG and I were in heaven. It didn't hurt that the boys were cute and flirtatious. It ended up being a long night with an attempt at going to Sluggers to hit the batting cages (which were closed hours earlier) and lots of beverages to keep our spirits high. We both had fun and stayed out way past my bedtime. I vaguely remember getting home but the next day was pretty painful. It took many, many hours of being curled in the fetal position before I was able to move to the couch and start my recovery process. Of course, Sunday was the day to do all my chores to get me ready for my trip so eventually I had to leave the couch and actually get stuff done. Once I started moving I did feel better but I didn't want to do anything.
Thankfully, I did manage to get everything done in time and got just enough sleep (4 hours) before getting up to catch my 4:15AM cab ride to the airport. I am definitely feeling the pain of the last couple of days right now but I had to get back online and keep up my good habits. For the next 3 weeks I won't be able to write during the days, but I hope to post a little something at night. Amazingly, I already have plans for every night this week with people I rarely get to see, so even a quick post may be difficult, but I'll try my best.
Nighty, night!
