I'm in shock

It's Saturday night and I'm bored so I've been flipping through the few TV channels I get and what do I find??? A Canadian TV show...on the WB - Da Vinci's Inquest. It took me a little while to figure it out but I could tell it wasn't the typical American drama. The quality is just not the same. The accents are just a little different. And then to top it off, I spot Dr. Roberts from 'Danger Bay'...another old Canadian TV show that I used to watch when bored. I started to feel like I was back home at my Mom's house again. I know that Canadian shows don't have the budget that big American one's have but it still amazes me how different they truly are. The grainy look, the bad acting, yet this one is being televised in 45 countries and has won numerous awards back home...and I still can't help but laugh. It's trying to be a Canadian version of CSI, yet it can't compete. Amazingly, I still can't look away. I get hypnotized by the idea of watching something from home and I have to watch to see familiar faces and places. References to different parts of Canada that just make me smile. I know I'm weird, but it's not often I actually get to think of home and indulge in things I grew up with.

Are there any other Danger Bay watchers out there? How about The Beachcombers?? I'll even settle for Degrassi fans, even though that show was big down here.
