happiness is...

I'm having a frustrating day and when I'm frustrated I generally turn to food to soothe my soul. Today is no exception, but the quest for that piece of chocolate was ridiculously hard. I did not have a supply on hand so I figured I'd go upstairs to the vending machine - easy right? Wrong. It's sitting there nicely displaying all the wonderful chips and chocolates and cookies, making my decision a very difficult one. Too many choices ~ may have to choose more than one. I take out my dollar and oops, it only takes coins. No problem! I turn around to the change machine and it's little orange light is on - "Temporarily Out of Service". I can handle this. I dig into my change purse and have just enough for that 3 Musketeers. 25 cents...ching. 25 cents...plop. 25 cents...plop. Hmmm...this doesn't seem to be working. Let's try the dimes. 10 cents...plop. 10 cents...plop. They won't work either! What will I do?? I head over to the pop machine...it takes dollars....insert my dollar and ask for change -- and get 2 quarters and 5 dimes. Why wouldn't it give all quarters? I'm not impressed, but I try my new set of coins. 25 cents...plop. 25 cents...plop. 10 cents...plop. 10 cents...plop. And officially give up. I take it as a sign that I'm not supposed to eat chocolate today. I head back to the elevator and then I remember there's a little store in the lobby! I'm saved!! I buy 2 with a great big grin on my face. I'm happy again.
