unsweetened
So I'm sitting here at work and any normal person, at a normal job would be getting ready to leave soon to spend their evening with family and/or friends. I, on the other hand, am patiently waiting for word that I need to stay late once again. I am supposed to be doing some research to help out one of my co-workers with something, but I'm just not feeling it right now so instead I went out to Starbucks to get an iced-tea and take a walk around the block. It was the first time I've been outside since I got into work today...too bad there was no sunshine. Now that I'm back, I've deciding blogging is a much more important task...vital to my sanity. Not that I have anything interesting to blog about.
Observations while taking my walk around the block...
~ About 75 and overcast, with a wind that makes my hair go everywhere...it's up today so no problem.
~ There's a new restaurant in my building that opened this week that I'll need to venture into one day when I'm actually allowed to take a lunch break. This is just a new location for an existing restaurant so I'm sure it's good.
~ The trains at Union Station cause a lot of pollution when they are idling for extended periods of time - you can see the fumes rising across the river and it's really not very pleasant.
~ A lot more people leave work at 4pm than they do at 10pm...it's a whole different world than I'm used to.
~ There are many more police officers patrolling the neighbourhood. I saw 1 bicycle cop, 1 State Trooper, a K-9 van and a regular police car all within a 1 block radius of my office building, of course the train stations pretty much surround my building too so it's a good thing.
There was probably more stuff going on around me but that's all I really remember. At least I know what the weather is like today...tomorrow I may not be so lucky.
