burn baby burn

That's right...you know the song...and it's all I can hear as I sit in my office on Friday night waiting - not so patiently - for my coworker to finish his coding. There is a festival going on a block from my office. It's the World's Largest Block Party and I'm not invited. I've done diddly-squat all day long, even took an extra long lunch to make up for all those missed lunches, yet here I am at 7:30pm sitting at my desk, dedicated to a job I hate.

If a programmer screams in their cubicle...does anyone hear it?

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Did you hear that? I didn't think so.

I'm the only one left working in the Chicago office and the only other people left to work tonight are working from home - the lucky bastards (pardon my French but it's really getting to me tonight). My day was good, there was very little stress and not much to do, but as usual, we need to wait on the data provided by another group and they can't get it together in time to have things done during normal business hours. And they expect us to beg to stay late each night.

Please....please, please, please let me stay!

At least next week will be a short one...I have a visitor coming to stay with me and work will not interfere this time!
