On a short leash

I've managed to get part of the weekend off from work and it has made me very happy. I worked all night on Friday and again Saturday morning. I still managed to get to my tennis class for a couple of hours and when I returned and logged back into my computer, I was relieved to see an email saying that we were done for the weekend. YAY!! What was the first thing I did? Returned emails related to the project, even though the issues were handled by other people in my absence. And then I disconnected from my work world and enjoyed an afternoon sitting in front of the TV. A TV that I eventually rigged up like this....

Do you see the 2 antennas...and the hanger! I had 2 hangers at one point but it just wasn't working like I wanted so I had to settle for this setup. But it worked! I felt very MacGyverish when getting it set up. I needed to be able to watch my newly adopted hockey team - The Edmonton Oilers - kick some Carolina ass. I hate Carolina. They have cheerleaders and there's NO cheerleaders in hockey. EVER!! CG eventually dragged me out of the house to watch the game from a real TV, surrounded by a bachelor party (again) and it was much better. Except for the stupid boys trying to get our attention during the game, it was a good night filled with fast-paced hockey, a win, some tater tots and beer. Yay! The boys, they were more of a nuisance then anything else, but I did talk to a fellow Canadian that came over to watch the game and he was nice. He seemed to be the exception last night. But you know me and Canadian boys...
